KNHPI is a world class institute– a center of excellence in the area of its activities.

+ The Institute is an autonomous body under KVIC-Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt of India engaged in the applied research and development, consultancy & technical services & Human resource & development for the growth of Indian handmade paper industry.

+ The Institute has been working as a torchbearer for the handmade paper industry through its various activities, the most important among them is research and development activities being conducted in the Institute on the various aspects related to handmade paper sector, and for the betterment and upliftment of Indian handmade paper.  

+ The research and development activities of the Institute mainly emphasize on exploring various alternative raw materials available abundantly in various regions of the country.

+ The Institute conducts detailed study on utilization of alternative raw materials on laboratory scale and studies its techno-economic feasibility on pilot plant scale.

LOCATION:

The Institute is located in Sanganer, Jaipur on an area of 3.0 acres of land by the side of Sikarpura Road, in a soothing village environment free from pollution which is about 2.25 Kms. away from Sanganer Town and 2 kms. from Jaipur Airport. The total built area of the Institute is about 4000 Sq. Mtr. The building of the Institute is an architectural beauty blending oriental and modern architect.
